"Meet Michelle Schulz, a vibrant emerging artist with a fun pop art style, British-born and currently based in Singapore. Having originally studied fashion design at a prestigious London college, Michelle found her true passion lay elsewhere in fine art.

With a unique blend of bold colours, playful imagery, and a touch of whimsy, she creates art that's not just visually stunning but also aims to make people smile. Utilising a process that combines acrylic and oil paints, Michelle brings her creations to life by playing off the warm and cool temperatures to create a unique sense of depth. Inspired by her British roots and lush surroundings each piece is a conversation starter, inviting viewers to explore themes of joy, nostalgia, and contemporary culture. Through her artwork, she sparks connections and brings positivity into spaces, encouraging everyone to embrace the beauty of art and life."

STATEMENT

“As an artist, I’m driven by my love for nature, animals, and vibrant colours. This visual explosion on each canvas is brought to life with carefully considered brush strokes of acrylic and oil paint, where depth is carefully mastered using a traditional approach to the cool and warm temperatures of each oil colour placement. My paintings are fun and bold, with an emphasis on connecting viewers to the beauty of the natural world. However, there’s often a deeper narrative behind each piece. I frequently highlight endangered species, inviting my audience to not only appreciate the subject but also explore its story. I aim to evoke a sense of connection and reflection, encouraging a conversation about the importance of preserving these animals and their environments. My work seeks to merge joy and awareness through colour and composition.”
